About Us
- Brief History
The first recorded Presbyterian Church Service was held in the Piako (Morrinsville) School Room at 11.00am on 27 May 1877. The School Room continued to be used for services until 1895 when the Anglican Church was built and this was used once a month for Presbyterian services.
In 1909 the Presbyterian Church was built and although this has now been demolished, the new church occupies the original site in Canada Street. The present complex was opened on the 18 November 1984. Further information can be found in the booklet by Rev. W. M. McLeay titled 'Knox Morrinsville 1877 - 1976'.
